PRESENCE OF CHRIST

Christ means messiah who would be a man and who would have complete authority over the person. It is quite possible to have many wonderful names of Christ who would be born in Bethlehem. Messiah would also be a man of sorrows and a faithful servant of his people who would set them free their bondage to sin.

Christ in the Eucharist assumes his actual presence, effectually signified by the bread and wine which become his body and blood that may be a mystery. Its main function is to transmit the life of Christ to his body; as a result its members are more united with Christ and with one another.
